Lower fixed monthly payment
We'll lower your monthly payment while you're in the program. Your time in the program starts with your first OnTrack bill that says Your OnTrack Monthly Payment. While in the program, Contoso will forgive the difference between your actual bill and your lower fixed OnTrack amount – up to the maximum credit amount of $4,027 for electric heat, or $1,310 if you have another heat source like natural gas or oil.
Debt forgiveness
If you have an overdue balance, PPL will also forgive a portion of it over 18 months. As long as you make your OnTrack payment on-time each month, at the end of 18 months your overdue balance will be $0. You don't need an overdue bill to qualify.Help controlling your energy use
To maximize your OnTrack credit, we encourage you to conserve energy. This program provides free weatherization services and energy education to help you save.Referral to other programs
You may be eligible for other services such as grants for winter heating bills. The agency you'll work with can tell you more. How the OnTrack Credit Works
1. You don’t pay the difference between your actual bill and your lower fixed OnTrack amount.
Example:
$200 Actual Bill -$120 OnTrack Payment $80 Difference paid by Contoso 2. The difference is called your OnTrack credit. The maximum PPL will pay depends on how you heat your home and your income. The credit ranges from $1,310 to $4,027. We’ll notify you when you’ve reached 50% of your credit, and 80% of your credit.
Example:
Example 1: $4,027 - $80 = $3,947 credit remaining
Example 2: $1,310 - $80 = $1,230 credit remaining3. If you exceed your credit, you can still remain in the program! We adjust your OnTrack amount to your budget billing amount.
PPL works with community agencies in your area to offer OnTrack. These agencies can tell you what other services may be available in your area.
